Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 4:00 pm (possibly 7:00 am start)

Job Responsibilities: What you will do
Identify, secure, and manage backhaul freight to optimize asset utilization, improve profitability, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. Incumbent must be able to balance customer relationships, capacity planning, cost analysis, and execution to support company objectives.
- Anticipate, identify, and resolve load-related issues to meet or exceed customer service expectations.
- Solicit and secure backhaul opportunities from assigned customers by leveraging daily available capacity.
- Facilitate spot rate requests and negotiate pricing to secure profitable freight for dedicated fleets.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships while balancing freight demand with available capacity.
- Evaluate and qualify potential backhaul lanes by conducting cost-benefit and risk analyses to determine financial viability.
- Quantify discount rates and assess overall impact of backhaul lanes on individual fleets and company performance.
- Ensure customer needs are met in a timely manner while identifying and maximizing additional revenue opportunities.
- Accurately receive, commit to, and enter all customer load information into the transportation management system.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account data, including proper setup of newly onboarded accounts.
- Monitor, trace, and follow up on loads, proactively communicating exceptions such as late pickups or deliveries.
- Clear assigned discrepancy queues to support timely and accurate billing.
- Maintain working knowledge of customer contractual requirements, including trailer pool expectations, to optimize equipment utilization.
- Participate in service-focused conference calls with assigned customers to review performance and address concerns.
- Research, document, and code service failures accurately to support service reporting and continuous improvement.
- Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization's objectives.

Qualifications: What you need to bring
- Previous customer service or related areas in transportation industry required.
- Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required.
- Must possess outstanding telephone skills.
- Must be able to set priorities.
- Must possess excellent time management skills.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced team environment.
